The incidence of long-term unemployment : evidence from Greece [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this article, I use the 2000-2004 data from the Greek Labour Force Survey in order to estimate a logit model for the incidence of long-term unemployment. The model computed is similar to the one estimated by Obben et al. (2002).

The Formation of Population III Binaries from Cosmological Initial Conditions

open access: yes, 2009
Previous high resolution cosmological simulations predict the first stars to appear in the early universe to be very massive and to form in isolation. Here we discuss a cosmological simulation in which the central 50 solar mass clump breaks up into two ...

High resolution studies of massive primordial haloes

open access: yes, 2012
Atomic cooling haloes with virial temperatures $\rm T_{vir} \geq 10^{4}$ K are the most plausible sites for the formation of the first galaxies and the first intermediate mass black holes. It is therefore important to assess whether one can obtain robust

Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles Mediate SiRNA Delivery for Long‐Term Multi‐Gene Silencing in Intact Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 9, March 6, 2024.
A biocompatible mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) platform for siRNA delivery into mature plant cells is established, which allows long‐term and multi‐gene silencing of both exogenous and endogenous genes through foliar spraying of MSN‐siRNA complexes, resulting in obvious phenotypic changes in the plant.
