Connexin 43‐Enriched Vesicles Improve Synchronization in hiPSC‐Derived Cardiomyocytes
Plasma membrane‐derived Connectosomes enriched in connexin‐43 are produced from donor hiPSCs and applied to hiPSC‐derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC‐CMs). Connexin‐43 channels on Connectosomes remain functional, strengthening intercellular electrochemical coupling and increasing network synchronization over time.

Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy in the clinical practice of a neurologist. Case report [PDF]
Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) is an opportunistic infection with severe brain damage caused by the JC-virus, against the background of immunosuppressive conditions.

A case of progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy in a HIV-infected female patient [PDF]
Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) caused by JC virus is a severe central nervous lesion developing in the presence of obvious immunodeficiency. In most cases, the disease results in a fatal outcome within a few months.

The ER's continuous tubular network is maintained by ER‐shaping proteins whose mutation or dysregulation contributes to neurodegenerative diseases. Here, we show that ER morphology sets the speed of Ca2+ store replenishment between firing events. Disrupting ER continuity slows intra‐ER Ca2+ redistribution from extracellular refill (SOCE) sites, driving

JC Virus Granule Cell Neuronopathy and Lymphoma [PDF]
Abstract Neurological opportunistic infections are going to increase. Clinicians should be aware of the neurological spectrum of JC virus manifestations, including granule cell neuronopathy. Detection of JC virus DNA by polymerase chain reaction in cerebrospinal fluid should be realized in the assessment of a progressive cerebellar ...

We identified GRIA2 as a critical driver of gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis through in vivo CRISPR screening. Mechanistically, GRIA2‐mediated calcium influx inhibits GSK3β and activates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling, driven by glutamate from cancer‐associated fibroblasts.
