Energy function and complex dynamics from a jerk system

Physica Scripta, 2023
Abstract Jerk, as a mathematical concept, is used in mechanics to describe the rate of change of acceleration and plays a crucial role in the design of control systems for machines and vehicles. Therefore, it is important to master the various states and the energy released during the change of acceleration. This is why a new simple jerk

A unique jerk system with hidden chaotic oscillation

Nonlinear Dynamics, 2016
An equilibrium-free piecewise linear jerk system is obtained by a signum operation based on the Sprott R system, which gives hidden oscillation of large basin of attraction. The new proposed chaotic system has a unique structure with an independent parameter for partial amplitude control, which experimentally can be realized in the circuit by a ...

Bifurcation and chaos in simple jerk dynamical systems

Pramana, 2005
In recent years, it is observed that the third-order explicit autonomous differential equation, named as jerk equation, represents an interesting sub-class of dynamical systems that can exhibit many major features of the regular and chaotic motion. In this paper, we investigate the global dynamics of a special family of jerk systems {ie075-01}, whereG ...

A Memristive Hyperchaotic Multiscroll Jerk System with Controllable Scroll Numbers

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2017
A memristor is the fourth circuit element, which has wide applications in chaos generation. In this paper, a four-dimensional hyperchaotic jerk system based on a memristor is proposed, where the scroll number of the memristive jerk system is controllable.

Jerk and loss minimization in electric elevator systems

2014 International Conference on Circuits, Systems, Communication and Information Technology Applications (CSCITA), 2014
Elevator systems have become one of the main connected loads of the present era. This paper reports methods to make the elevator systems more comfortable and efficient. The comfort is assured by smoothening of the speed profile through predefined non-instantaneous jerk pattern.

Circuit realization of a fractional-order chaotic jerk system

2017 6th International Conference on Modern Circuits and Systems Technologies (MOCAST), 2017
In this paper, the analysis, design and circuit synthesis of a fractional-order form of a chaotic jerk system is presented. The proposed system is one of the simplest member of the jerk system's family, because it has the least number of terms, one of which is the unique nonlinear term of the system. For the first time, the hyperbolic sine term is used

A New Chaotic Jerk System with Double-Hump Nonlinearity

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2020
In this paper, we report a new third-order chaotic jerk system with double-hump (bimodal) nonlinearity. The bimodal nonlinearity is of basic interest in biology, physics, etc. The proposed jerk system is able to exhibit chaotic response with proper choice of parameters.

The Cusp Bifurcation of a Jerk System

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos
In this paper, using smooth invertible variable transformations and smooth invertible parameter changes, we construct a jerk normal form for the cusp bifurcation of a jerk system with two parameters which displays a nondegenerate fold bifurcation.

Generalized projective synchronization of n-Scroll chaotic jerk system

2009 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems, 2009
Multi-scroll chaotic system has found important applications as broadband signal generator and true pseudorandom number generator for communication engineering. In this paper, an active control method is proposed to projective-synchronize two n-scroll chaotic Jerk systems.

Minimum-jerk trajectory generation for master-slave robotic system

2012 4th IEEE RAS & EMBS International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics (BioRob), 2012
This paper describes a trajectory generation method for a master-slave surgical robotic system. Because the data from the master system is intermittent due the limited master-slave communication rate, interpolation is required to achieve smooth motion of the slave robot. In particular, real-time interpolation is crucial for surgical systems.
