A review on solid riveting techniques in aircraft assembling

open access: yesManufacturing Review, 2020
Solid riveting is the most widely used joining technique in aircraft assembly, and the current key problems affecting practical application and reliable lifting are concentrated on static strength and fatigue.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

Effect of Surface Treatment on Tensile Strength of Steel Single Lap Joints Bonded with Double-Sided Acrylic Foam Tapes for Naval Applications

open access: yesMetals
This study investigated single lap joints in steel used for naval carpentry. The surface was mechanically treated, and then a double-sided acrylic foam tape was applied with varying surface preparation conditions. Specifically, three different conditions

Plasma extrachromosomal circular DNA as a biomarker in EGFR‐targeted therapy of non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Integration of multiple-linear and tumbling kinematics into self-piercing riveting [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences
Conventional mechanical joining processes are typically rigid in their tool systems and can only react to changing process and disturbance variables to a limited extent.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Investigation failure behavior in the shear tensile test with variety of specimen stiffness [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences
This paper focuses on the failure behavior of clinched specimens with various stiffnesses under shear tensile loading. The primary objective is to assess the influence of the specimen stiffness with an arrangement of clinched joints.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.
