The interest in Ziziphus jujube is growing because it is an excellent source of nutrients and phytochemicals, and can contribute to a healthy diet. Nutritional compounds (phenolic compounds and L-ascorbic acid), and antioxidant capacity of 4 Spanish jujube cultivars were studied.

The Resistance of Jujube Trees to Jujube Witches’ Broom Disease in China
2019Chinese jujube is an important multi-purpose fruit tree in Asia. Jujube Witches’ Broom Disease (JWB), caused by phytoplasma, is the most destructive disease of Chinese jujube. Typical symptoms include witches’ broom, small leaves, phyllody and dense root suckers. This chapter focuses on the disease management using antibiotics and resistant germplasms.
