A System for the Study of Kallikreins
1979The formation of kallidin (lysyl-bradykinin) by the action of glandular kallikreins upon plasma kininogen shows that the substrate specificity of these enzymes is very different from that of trypsin and plasma kallikrein, which yield bradykinin from the same substrate.

Discovery of the Most Important Kallikreins and Kallikrein Inhibitors
1970In the course of research on the connection between heart action and function of the kidneys in 1925 E. K. Frey (1926) found that intravenous injection of dog urine to another dog decreased the blood pressure, which could be registered by measuring the pressure in the carotid artery with a Ludwig mercury manometer.
