Regime‐Dependent Nowcasting of the Austrian Economy

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, Volume 45, Issue 4, Page 2078-2101, July 2026.
ABSTRACT We nowcast and forecast economic activity in Austria, namely, real gross domestic product (GDP), consumption, and investment, which are available at a quarterly frequency, using a preselected number of monthly indicators based on a combination of statistical procedures.

Global Wind Field Reconstruction in the Mesosphere and Lower Thermosphere (MLT) During Geomagnetic Storms by Fusing TIDI and SABER Data: A Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) Approach

open access: yesGeoscience Data Journal, Volume 13, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The Mesosphere and Lower Thermosphere establish an essential connection between Earth's lower atmosphere and upper atmosphere because wind patterns essential for atmospheric movement also influence energy distribution and chemical movements during geomagnetic storms that disrupt satellite operations and space weather prediction systems.

Common Trends, Common Cycles, and Price Relationships in the International Fiber Market - Evidence from a Seemingly Unrelated Structural Time Series

open access: yes
This study shows that the stochastic process that governs price fluctuations in the international fiber market has transitory and permanent components. The results also indicate structural relationships between cotton price and wool price, wool price and

ALERA‐V Version 1.0: An Objective Analysis Dataset of the Venus Atmosphere

open access: yesGeoscience Data Journal, Volume 13, Issue 3, July 2026.
Using observations from the Venus orbiter Akatsuki, we present the first objective analysis dataset of the Venus atmosphere. ALERA‐V, generated with the ALEDAS‐V system using the LETKF, is expected to support studies of atmospheric dynamics and the planning of future satellite missions.

Physics‐Supervised Autonomous Inverse Fracture Modeling via Generative Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract Fracture networks act as critical pathways for groundwater flow and transport, yet their characterization remains challenging due to subsurface inaccessibility and stochastic complexity. Traditional inversion methods are computationally expensive and often fail to capture fracture heterogeneity accurately.

Satellite‐Derived Leaf Photosynthetic Capacity Data Set Improves Atmospheric Inversion of Terrestrial Carbon Fluxes

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 12, 28 June 2026.
Abstract Accurately estimating the terrestrial carbon sink is crucial for understanding the global carbon cycle. Here, we examine how different parameterizations of the key leaf photosynthetic capacity parameter, namely the maximum Rubisco carboxylation rate normalized to 25°C (Vcmax25), influence terrestrial carbon flux estimates within an atmospheric
