Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationships, 1987AbstractThe molecular shape attribute of symmetry is introduced as a supplement to the shape attributes encoded by the kappa values. This attribute is indexed by the Shannon equation for information content and is designated as 0κ within the framework of multiple path, path and atom counts to derive the kappa values.

A simple model of observation is proposed which allows for guessing. The proportion of agreement, G, and kappa indexes are shown to differ in how they correct for chance agreements between two observers. On the basis of the findings, it is suggested that no single agreement index is appropriate for all sets of data.

2011In this paper, we nd analytic expressions of the lower partial moment and kappa index of linear portfolios when the returns are elliptically distributed. We also introduced the notion of Target Semi-Kurtosis of portfolio return and discuss the robust optimization Mean-LPM problem with non-gaussian risk factors.
