Dissipation Modulated Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy Method
We review a new implementation of Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) in which the dissipation signal of frequency modulation atomic force microscopy (FM-AFM) is used for dc bias voltage feedback (D-KPFM). The dissipation arises from an oscillating electrostatic force that is coherent with the tip oscillation, which is caused by applying the ac ...

Develop a LiCl–PEI–PAM hydrogel with 3000% stretchability and excellent optical transparency. Through comparative studies of various salts, confirm that LiCl is the most suitable salt for high TENG output. Achieve excellent freeze‐resistant, dry‐resistant, and rapid self‐healing (10 s) properties even in extreme environments. Balance ionic conductivity,

Co‐delivery of electrosprayed EDOT and oxidant enables bulk oxidative polymerization during layer‐by‐layer fabrication, creating stable, highly conductive 3D PEDOT structures. This Atomized Oxidative Polymerization (AOP) overcomes the surface deposition‐only and matrix‐limited conductivity of conventional Vapor Phase Polymerization (VPP) and PEDOT:PSS ...

Kelvin force microscopy of polymer and small molecule thin-film transistors
By their nature, scanning probe microscopy (SPM) measurements are ideally suited to the study of organic thin-film transistors (TFTs). In Chapter 3 surface potential measurements are made on TFTs made from the polymer pBTTT.

Bandgap‐engineered AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures exhibit wavelength‐selective dual‐polarity photoelectrochemistry, switching from photocathodic to photoanodic response depending on excitation wavelength. The polarity transition is governed by band‐selective absorption, built‐in electric‐field‐driven carrier transport, and interfacial charge‐transfer ...

In situ topographical chemical and electrical imaging of carboxyl graphene oxide at the nanoscale
Mapping the distribution of functional groups on 2D materials with high resolution remains challenging. Here, the authors combine tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and Kelvin probe force microscopy to simultaneously examine the topography, chemical ...

Polarized Tips or Surfaces: Consequences in Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy
In this work, we present non-contact atomic force microscopy (nc-AFM) and Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) simulations of the (001) surface of silver and supported MgO thin films. From the calculated force spectroscopy, we predict atomic resolution at tip-surface distances of less than 5 A.

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...
