β‐Hydroxybutyrate Acts as an Exercise Mimetic to Protect the Aging Liver
β‐hydroxybutyrate (β‐HB) acts as an exercise mimetic to protect the aging liver. In aged models, exercise‐induced β‐HB delays liver aging by reversing macrophage senescence, blocking mtDNA/cGAS‐STING‐driven inflammation, and alleviating hepatocyte lipid deposition/PANoptosis.

Ketogenesis is Dispensable for the Metabolic Adaptations to Caloric Restriction
In this study, we demonstrated that metabolic responses to a daily‐fed caloric restriction (CR) protocol remain robust in mice that cannot engage in canonical ketogenesis. This surprising finding is due to mice physiologically adapting to the daily bouts of fasting during CR by downregulating ketone production. ABSTRACT Caloric restriction (CR) extends

An Analysis of the Weight Watchers and Atkins Diets: The Effects of Calorie Restriction and Nutrition Levels [PDF]
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a calorie-restricted diet versus one with restricted food groups. To accomplish this, a survey with 19 participants, age ranging from 25 to 74 years, was taken for people who attempted ...

ABSTRACT This study investigated the relationship between metabolic disease, milk fatty acid composition, and rumination time in early lactation dairy cows and evaluated their utility as diagnostic indicators. Twenty‐two Holstein dairy cows were monitored for 8 weeks postpartum, with weekly milk and blood sampling and continuous rumination monitoring ...

Detection of Subclinical Ketosis in Dairy Cows [PDF]
Ketosis is a common metabolic disorder frequently observed in dairy cows during the early lactation period. It is characterized by increased levels of ketone bodies in the blood, urine, and milk.
