Security Proofs for Quantum Key Distribution Protocols by Numerical Approaches [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This thesis applies numerical methods to analyze the security of quantum key distribution (QKD) protocols. The main theoretical problem in QKD security proofs is to calculate the secret key generation rate.

Techniques for Improving Numerical Secret Key Rates of Quantum Key Distribution Protocols [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is a method for producing secure keys between two parties whose security does not rely on computational assumptions potentially breakable by quantum computers. However, physical constraints, such as noise, imperfect devices,

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Loss control-based QKD with noisy devices

open access: yesScientific Reports
Quantum cryptography protocols aimed at providing communication security are based on the fundamental principle of quantum physics that non-orthogonal quantum states cannot be perfectly distinguished.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Security Analysis and Designing Advanced Two-Party Lattice-Based Authenticated Key Establishment and Key Transport Protocols for Mobile Communication

open access: yesFuture Internet
In this paper, we have proposed a two-party authenticated key establishment (AKE), and authenticated key transport protocols based on lattice-based cryptography, aiming to provide security against quantum attacks for secure communication.

A Novel Physical Layer Secure Key Generation and Refreshment Scheme for Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Physical layer secure key generation (PL-SKG) schemes have received a lot of attention from the wireless security community in recent years because of the potential benefits that they could bring to the security landscape. These schemes aim to strengthen

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Towards quantum‐secure software defined networks

open access: yesIET Quantum Communication
The evolution of quantum computers is considered a serious threat to public‐key cryptosystems (e.g. RSA, ECDSA, ECDH, etc.). This is indeed a big concern for security of the Internet and other data communication and storage systems.

GBD Threshold Cryptography with an Application to RSA Key Recovery

open access: yes, 2005
We present protocols for threshold decryption and threshold key generation in the GBD public-key cryptosystem in the "honest-butcurious " setting.
