T-Cell Lymphoma of the Tonsil with Ki-1 Antigen Expression.

open access: yesInternal Medicine, 1994
A 52-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with a fever and swelling of the tonsils and lymph nodes. A tonsillectomy was performed and she was diagnosed as having non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of T-cell phenotype. Genotypic analysis revealed a rearrangement of the T-cell receptor gene, but not of the immunoglobulin genes.

The Role of Parafibromin, Galectin-3, HBME-1, and Ki-67 in the Differential Diagnosis of Parathyroid Tumors

open access: yesOman Medical Journal, 2015
Objectives: Parathyroid carcinoma (PC) is a rare parathyroid tumor compared to parathyroid adenoma (PA) and atypical parathyroid adenoma (APA). Recent studies have suggested parafibromin has a role in the differential diagnosis of parathyroid tumors.

A monoclonal antibody KIS-1 recognizing a new membrane antigen on human squamous-cell carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, 1996
A KIS-1 monoclonal antibody (MAb) (IgG1, kappa) recognizing a membrane antigen on human squamous-cell carcinomas (SCC) was developed to understand their antigenicity using an esophageal SCC as an immunogen. The KIS-1 MAb recognized a membrane antigen on a majority of esophageal, lung, and oral- cavity SCC by immunofluorescent and by immunohistochemical

Effect of expression of immunohistochemical marker Ki-67 on the life expectancy of patients with gastric cancer 0-III stages

open access: yesPatologìâ, 2015
In Ukraine 60,9% of patients with gastric cancer die within 1 year after ascertainment of diagnosis. Aim: In order to investigate the effect of Ki-67 overexpression on life expectancy, study was conducted among 129 patients with gastric cancer of 0 ...

Immunohistochemical Expression of IMP3 in Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesGalician Medical Journal, 2022
Background. Insulin-like growth factor-II mRNA-binding protein 3 (IMP3) is an oncofetal protein upregulated in tumor cells during carcinogenesis. It has been linked to adverse clinical outcome in many malignancies.

Current biomarkers of canine mammary tumors

open access: yesActa Veterinaria Scandinavica, 2018
Mammary tumors are the second most common neoplasia in dogs. Due to the high similarity of canine mammary tumors (CMT) to human breast cancers (HBC), human biomarkers of HBC are also detectable in cases of CMT.

Correlation between metallothionein (MT) expression and selected prognostic factors in ductal breast cancers.

open access: yesFolia Histochemica et Cytobiologica, 2010
Our study aimed at examining significance of metallothionein (MT) expression in ductal breast cancers by determination of a relationship between expression of MT protein (MT-1/2) and selected prognostic factors, including grade of histological ...

A Ki-1-Positive Cell Line Expressing Epstein-Barr Virus Antigens, Established from a Child with Ki-1-Positive Lymphoma

open access: yesIntervirology, 1993
We report here the establishment of a CD30 (Ki-1) antigen-positive cell line 'Ki-JK' from a child with anaplastic large cell lymphoma. We characterized this cell line and show that: (i) Ki-JK cells do not grow in soft agar but infrequently produce a tumor or suppressed growth when injected into nude mice; (ii) Ki-JK cells expressed Epstein-Barr virus ...

Atypical Cells in Lymphomatoid Papulosis Express the Hodgkin Cell-Associated Antigen Ki-1

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Dermatology, 1986
Lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP) is characterized by the presence of large multinucleated cells resembling Reed-Sternberg (RS) cells. Evidence of antigenic similarity between these two cell types has been sought by immunohistologic labeling of 10 biopsies from cases of LyP with monoclonal antibodies against Ki-1 and other RS and Hodgkin (H) cell-associated
