High proliferative activity of Reed Sternberg associated antigen Ki-1 positive cells in normal lymphoid tissue. [PDF]
An improved immunoenzymatic double labelling method was developed, which simultaneously shows the Ki-1 membrane antigen and the nuclear proliferation associated antigen, defined by monoclonal antibody Ki-67. This new approach permits in situ discrimination of cells that are proliferating or not with a particular membrane antigen.

Ki-67 immuno-histochemistry index in stage III giant cell tumor of the bone
Background Giant cell tumor is an infrequent and unpredictable bony lesion. Although numerous attempts have been made to predict the behaviour of GCT, there are no definite biological or histological parameters to determine the prognosis or ...

BackgroundCurrent blood-based diagnostic tools for TB are insufficient to properly characterize the distinct stages of TB, from the latent infection (LTBI) to its active form (aTB); nor can they assess treatment efficacy.

Correlation of p53 and KI-67 expression with grade and subtype of ependymoma
Introduction: The morphological criteria for grading ependymomas were always felt subjective. Recently some studies have showed that Ki-67 and p53 immunolabeling are important prognostic markers in ependymomas.

Background The defect of B cell self-tolerance and the continuous antigen presentation by T cells (TCs) mediated by autoreactive B cells (BCs) play a key role in the occurrence and development of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Lack of correlation between Ki-67 labelling index and tumor size of anterior pituitary adenomas
Aims and background The Ki-67 is a nuclear antigen detected by the monoclonal antibody MIB-1 and its Labeling Index (LI) is considered a marker of normal and abnormal cell proliferation.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
