Kinematic Tolerance Analysis *
We present a general method for worst-case limit kinematic tolerance analysis: computing the range of variation in the kinematic function of a mechanism from its part tolerance specifications.

Kinematics Analysis and Singularity Avoidance of a Parallel Mechanism with Kinematic Redundancy [PDF]
Abstract The kinematic redundancy is considered as a way to improve the performance of the parallel mechanism. In this paper, the kinematics performance of a three degree-of-freedom parallel mechanism with kinematic redundancy (3-DOF PM-KR) and the influence of redundant parts on the PM-KR are analyzed.

Kinematic analysis of a single-loop reconfigurable 7R mechanism with multiple operation modes [PDF]
This paper presents a novel one-degree-of-freedom (1-DOF) single-loop reconfigurable 7R mechanism with multiple operation modes (SLR7RMMOM), composed of seven revolute (R) joints, via adding a revolute joint to the overconstrained Sarrus linkage.

Generalized Jacobian analysis of lower mobility manipulators [PDF]
Mainly drawing on screw theory and linear algebra, this paper presents a general approach for Jacobian analysis of lower mobility manipulators. Given the definitions of twist/wrench spaces and their subspaces of the end-effector, the underlying ...

MOVEMENT PROTOTYPES IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE HANDSPRING ON VAULT
Most research concerning the kinematic analysis of gymnastics skills only deals with selected variables, thereby often ignoring the holistic nature of the analyzed skills.

Locomotion speed changes appear following hippocampal injury. We used a hippocampal penetrating brain injury mouse model to analyze other kinematic changes. We found a significant decrease in locomotion speed in both open-field and tunnel walk tests.

Kinematic analysis of handwriting movements in patients with Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, depression and healthy subjects [PDF]
A variety of studies have demonstrated that motor disorders, parkinsonism and extrapyramidal motor symptoms (EPMS) are common in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Machinability, along with its associated facets, is a critical parameter that ultimately determines the cost of machining. Its optimization, however, is inherently limited by the current technology.

Longitudinal kinematic and kinetic adaptations to obstacle crossing in recent lower limb amputees [PDF]
Background: Obstacle crossing is an important activity of daily living, necessary to avoid tripping or falling, although it is not fully understood how transtibial amputees adapt to performing this activity of daily living following discharge from ...
