Kinematical superspaces [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Abstract We classify N =1 d = 4 kinematical and aristotelian Lie superalgebras with spa- tial isotropy, but not necessarily parity nor time-reversal invariance. Employing a quater- nionic formalism which makes rotational covariance manifest and simplifies many of the calculations, we find a list of 43 isomorphism classes of Lie ...

Internal kinematics of spiral galaxies in distant clusters IV. Gas kinematics of spiral galaxies in intermediate redshift clusters and in the field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
(Abridged) We trace the interaction processes of galaxies at intermediate redshift by measuring the irregularity of their ionized gas kinematics, and investigate these irregularities as a function of the environment (cluster versus field) and of ...

EEG Cortical Source Feature based Hand Kinematics Decoding using Residual CNN-LSTM Neural Network [PDF]

open access: yes2023 45th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBC), Sydney, Australia, 2023, 2023
Motor kinematics decoding (MKD) using brain signal is essential to develop Brain-computer interface (BCI) system for rehabilitation or prosthesis devices. Surface electroencephalogram (EEG) signal has been widely utilized for MKD. However, kinematic decoding from cortical sources is sparsely explored.

“Kinematics and Dynamics” [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1888
MAY I ask a short space in your columns to refer to a few points in Prof. Greenhill's review of my book on “Kinematics and Dynamics,” published in your issue of February 16 (p. 361). I shall be as brief as possible.

A Kinematical Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1881
IF Prof. Minchin will refer back to the Bulletin des Sciences Mathematiques et Astronomiques for August, 1878, he will, I think, find in a paper by M. Darboux the theorem stated by him tinder the above title in NATURE, vol. xxiv. p. 557.

Kinematics of the Foot [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Neurological Sciences / Journal Canadien des Sciences Neurologiques, 1982
SUMMARY:Orthogonal stereoradiographs are frequently utilized in determining three-dimensional geometrical parameters of human body segments. They have been applied here in the estimation of the length and elongation of the ligaments of the normal foot.

A preliminary investigation of trunk and wrist kinematics when using drivers with different shaft properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
It is unknown whether skilled golfers will modify their kinematics when using drivers of different shaft properties. This study aimed to firstly, determine if golf swing kinematics and swing parameters and related launch conditions differed when using ...

Kinematic Space and Wormholes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017(1), 1-27, 2016
The kinematic space could play a key role in constructing the bulk geometry from dual CFT. In this paper, we study the kinematic space from geometric points of view, without resorting to differential entropy. We find that the kinematic space could be intrinsically defined in the embedding space.

IMAGES I. Strong evolution of galaxy kinematics since z=1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
(abbreviated) We present the first results of the ESO large program, ``IMAGES'' which aims at obtaining robust measurements of the kinematics of distant galaxies using the multi-IFU mode of GIRAFFE on the VLT.

Kinematic Mappings for Cayley-Klein Geometries via Clifford Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesContributions to Algebra and Geometry 54 (2013), 737-761, 2013
This paper unifies the concept of kinematic mappings by using geometric algebras. We present a method for constructing kinematic mappings for certain Cayley-Klein geometries. These geometries are described in an algebraic setting by the homogeneous Clifford algebra model. Displacements correspond to Spin group elements.
