Kinetics of lysozyme-substrate interactions

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1969
Abstract Presteady state kinetics of the interaction of lysozyme with the hexamer and trimer of N-acetylglucosamine have been investigated by stopped-flow and relaxation methods. Two processes were observed with hexamer, and only one with trimer. The processes for hexamer were observed either as two consecutive proton uptake signals or as a fast ...

Kinetics of drug displacement interactions

Journal of Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics, 1981
A simple model simulating the kinetics of drugs displacement kinetics is investigated. It is demonstrated that for highly bound, lowly cleared drugs, displacement interactions are transitory. Consequently, the kinetics of the interaction have to be considered as well as the in vitro interaction.

Kinetic Profile of Neuropeptide–Receptor Interactions

Trends in Neurosciences, 2016
Currently, drug discovery focusses only on quantifying pharmacological parameters, sometimes including binding kinetics, of drug candidates. For a complete understanding of a drug's desired binding kinetics, the kinetics of both the target and its endogenous ligands should be considered.

Kinetics of biomolecular interactions

Expert Opinion on Therapeutic Patents, 1997
Recent advances in instrumentation, in particular the development of biosensors, have greatly simplified the measurement of the kinetics of molecular interactions. Previously, while it was realised that the kinetics of biomolecular interactions were important factors in the successful design of molecules for clinical, industrial or scientific purposes,
