Regulation of the expression of the Kluyveromyces lactis PDC1 gene: carbon source-responsive elements and autoregulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The yeast Kluyveromyces lactis has a single structural gene coding for pyruvate decarboxylase (KIPDC1). In order to study the regulation of the expression of KIPDC1, we have sequenced (EMBL Accession No.

Cell wall surface properties and flocculence of a Kluyveromyces marxianus strain [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Yeast flocculation is under genetic control and is described as a cell wall interaction. This characteristic of yeast cells has been traditionally used in industrial fermentation processes. The surface characteristics of the cell walls are expected to be

The immobilization of Kluyveromyces fragilis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae in polyacrylamide gel : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Technology in Biotechnology at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
The search for new energy sources has indicated that biomass, in the form of green plant materials and biological wastes, can provide a perpetual energy source if converted to a useful form.
