A new approach to produce IgG4-like bispecific antibodies
While achieving rapid developments in recent years, bispecific antibodies are still difficult to design and manufacture, due to mispair of both heavy and light chains. Here we report a novel technology to make bispecific molecules.

Engineering of Crystal and Domain Structures in Epitaxial Y:HfO2 Thin Films by YSZ Substrate Miscut
We investigate how YSZ substrate miscut influences crystal structure and domain formation in epitaxial Y‐doped HfO2 thin films. Using magnetron sputtering, high‐resolution X‐ray diffraction, atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy, and first‐principles calculations, we systematically examine the characteristics of thickness‐ and ...

Adenovirus type 5 fiber knob domain has a critical role in fiber protein synthesis and encapsidation
Adenovirus serotype 5 (Ad5) vectors carrying knobless fibers designed to remove their natural tropism were found to have a lower fiber content than recombinant Ad5 with wild-type (WT) capsid, implying a role for the knob-coding sequence or/and the knob domain in fiber encapsidation. Experimental data using a variety of fiber gene constructs showed that

Flexoelectricity in Photoconversion: Fundamentals, Materials, and Outlooks
Mechanical bending of a flexible cantilever induces a strain gradient in the photoactive material. The resulting flexoelectric field couples with photovoltaic and photoconductive effects, modulating charge generation, separation, and collection. A comparative analysis of oxide perovskites, halide perovskites, and two‐dimensional materials is presented,

Single‐atom Cu intercalation enables porous AB3 monolayers to integrate ferroelectricity, metallicity, topology, and hydrogen evolution catalysis in one platform. Switchable FE polarization modulates work function and hydrogen adsorption thermodynamics, providing an electrically controllable route to activate basal‐plane HER activity in topological ...

Sulfated Glycosaminoglycans as Viral Decoy Receptors for Human Adenovirus Type 37
Glycans on plasma membranes and in secretions play important roles in infection by many viruses. Species D human adenovirus type 37 (HAdV-D37) is a major cause of epidemic keratoconjunctivitis (EKC) and infects target cells by interacting with sialic ...

Unconventional Hysteretic Charge Filling in Moiré‐Reconstructed Helical Trilayer Graphene
In helical trilayer graphene, sequential twisting reconstructs the moiré landscape into periodic domains separated by aperiodic boundaries. Longitudinal transport reveals sweep‐direction‐dependent hysteresis, while the Hall response traces this behavior to hysteretic charge filling at the aperiodic boundaries.

Clag9 is not essential for PfEMP1 surface expression in non-cytoadherent Plasmodium falciparum parasites with a chromosome 9 deletion. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: The expression of the clonally variant virulence factor PfEMP1 mediates the sequestration of Plasmodium falciparum infected erythrocytes in the host vasculature and contributes to chronic infection.

Electromagnetic Radiation Stimulated Learning in Perovskite Nickelates
ABSTRACT Biological plasticity refers to the ability of synapses to strengthen or weaken over time. These adaptive properties play a fundamental role in learning and memory, spanning many orders of magnitude in timescales. Short‐term plasticity (STP) arises from rapid correlative activity, while long‐term plasticity (LTP) is governed by slower ...
