A Randomized, Sham‐Controlled Trial of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Targeting M1 and S2 in Central Poststroke Pain: A Pilot Trial

open access: yesNeuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface, EarlyView., 2021
Abstract Objectives Central poststroke pain (CPSP), a neuropathic pain condition, is difficult to treat. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) targeted to the primary motor cortex (M1) can alleviate the condition, but not all patients respond. We aimed to assess a promising alternative rTMS target, the secondary somatosensory cortex (S2),

Twisted MoS2 Bilayers as Functional Elements in Memtransistors: Hysteresis, Optical Signatures, and Photocurrent Kinetics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Layered 2D materials are considered as promising for memristive applications due to their ultimate vertical scalability compared to conventional semiconductor films and pronounced hysteresis properties. Bias‐resolved Raman and Photoluminescence mapping is used to quantify strain from phonon shifts and carrier density from the exciton‐trion ...

Tuning the Mechanical Properties of Crosslinked Copolymers via Sequence and Solvent‐Selective Swelling for Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Polymer sequence and solvent selectivity independently modulate pendant‐vinyl accessibility during photocuring, trapping different topologies in CLIP and controlling mechanical properties. ABSTRACT Block copolymers (BCPs) offer distinct advantages for vat photopolymerization by enabling mechanically programmable network structures through microphase ...

A Dual‐Memory Ferroelectric Transistor Emulating Synaptic Metaplasticity for High‐Speed Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A CMOS‐compatible ferroelectric transistor harnesses the interplay between stable gate polarization memory and volatile non‐quasi‐static channel charge dynamics to emulate how biological synapses regulate their own plasticity. This brain‐inspired dual‐memory mechanism, realized in a single device, enables a physical reservoir computer that solves ...

Intracellular cholesterol trafficking is dependent upon NPC2 interaction with lysobisphosphatidic acid

open access: yeseLife, 2019
Unesterified cholesterol accumulation in the late endosomal/lysosomal (LE/LY) compartment is the cellular hallmark of Niemann-Pick C (NPC) disease, caused by defects in the genes encoding NPC1 or NPC2.

Multimerization of Adenovirus Serotype 3 Fiber Knob Domains Is Required for Efficient Binding of Virus to Desmoglein 2 and Subsequent Opening of Epithelial Junctions

open access: yesJournal of Virology, 2011
ABSTRACT Recently, we identified desmoglein 2 (DSG2) as the main receptor for a group of species B adenoviruses (Ads), including Ad3, a serotype that is widely distributed in the human population (H. Wang et al., Nat. Med. 17: 96–104, 2011).

Targeting of Adenovirus to Endothelial Cells by a Bispecific Single-Chain Diabody Directed against the Adenovirus Fiber Knob Domain and Human Endoglin (CD105)

open access: yesMolecular Therapy, 2001
The use of adenoviruses for antivascular cancer gene therapy is limited by their low transduction efficiency for endothelial cells. We have developed a recombinant bispecific antibody as a molecular bridge, linking the adenovirus capsid to the endothelial cell surface protein endoglin, for vascular targeting of adenoviruses.

Ion‐Gating Reservoir Computing for Preprocessing‐Free Speech Recognition from Throat Vibrations

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a throat‐mounted mechanoelectric sensor integrated with an ion‐gel/graphene reservoir device for on‐device speech recognition. The system converts raw biomechanical vibrations into rich nonlinear current dynamics, enabling efficient classification through a simple linear readout. The approach highlights a compact and tunable physical‐

Kinkless Electronic Junction along 1D Electronic Channel Embedded in a Van Der Waals Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Here, the formation of type‐I and type‐II electronic junctions with or without any structural discontinuity along a well‐defined 1 nm‐wide 1D electronic channel within a van der Waals layer is reported.
