Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

Background Alterations of energetic metabolism are suggested to be an important contributor to pressure overload (PO)‐induced heart failure. Our previous study reveals that knockout of endothelial Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) alters glycolysis and impairs diastolic

IgG Suppresses Antibody Responses in Mice Lacking C1q, C3, Complement Receptors 1 and 2, or IgG Fc-Receptors. [PDF]
Antigen-specific IgG antibodies, passively administered to mice or humans together with large particulate antigens like erythrocytes, can completely suppress the antibody response against the antigen.

The Study of MASPs Knockout Mice [PDF]
Plasma proteases, e.g. thrombin, factor X, complement factor D and C1s are responsible for the physiological activities, such as coagulation and complement system. These proteases circulate as their zymogen in blood and are activated by various stimulations.

Spermatogenesis is normal in Tex33 knockout mice
Testis expressed gene 33 (Tex33) is a recently reported testis-specific gene and it is evolutionarily conserved in vertebrates. The Tex33 expression is found in cytoplasm of round spermatids in Mus musculus. However, the in vivo function of Tex33 remains unknown.

Knockout mice in neuropsychopharmacology: present and future [PDF]
The technique of targeted inactivation of individual genes in mice has undoubtedly revolutionized biomedicine. Applications for gene knockout mice in neuropsychopharmacology are manifold: Determination of targets for established treatments is eased, while development of novel drugs is facilitated for a given target. This review discusses advantages and

Creatine Transporter (CrT; Slc6a8) Knockout Mice as a Model of Human CrT Deficiency
Mutations in the creatine (Cr) transporter (CrT; Slc6a8) gene lead to absence of brain Cr and intellectual disabilities, loss of speech, and behavioral abnormalities.

Crosstalk between gut microbiota and tumor: tumors could cause gut dysbiosis and metabolic imbalance
In this research, we analyzed the relationship between gut microbiota and tumor. We discovered that both subcutaneous and metastatic tumors would alter the composition and metabolic function of gut microbiota. Meanwhile, fecal microbiota transplantation also indicated the anti‐tumor role of the gut microbiota, revealing the crosstalk between tumor and ...

Overview: Generation of Gene Knockout Mice [PDF]
AbstractThe technique of gene targeting allows for the introduction of engineered genetic mutations into a mouse at a determined genomic locus. The process of generating mouse models with targeted mutations was developed through both the discovery of homologous recombination and the isolation of murine embryonic stem cells (ES cells).
