Heat shock protein 72 attenuates atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E‐deficient mice

Heat shock (HS) + mild electrical stimulation (MES)‐induced heat shock protein (HSP)72 expression prevents atherogenesis in HSP72+/+/ApoE−/− mice. HS + MES‐induced HSP72 expression reduces macrophage infiltration, oxidative stress, JNK activity, and MCP‐1 expression, and alters macrophage polarity from M1 to M2.

Comparison between liraglutide and dulaglutide on the incidence or progression of eye and kidney complications

We conducted the single‐center, retrospective cohort study to evaluate and compare the risk of diabetic eye and kidney complications between newly initiated once‐daily liraglutide (0.9 mg) and once‐weekly dulaglutide (0.75 mg) in 331 Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes.

Retrospective Identification of Lactococcus petauri Among Archived Isolates From Farmed Fish in Japan: Pathogenicity and Molecular Epidemiology

ABSTRACT Lactococcosis, caused by Lactococcus garvieae, L. formosensis, and L. petauri, is an important bacterial disease of farmed fish worldwide. In Japan, L. petauri has not previously been reported as a cause of lactococcosis, although lactococcosis cases not attributable to either L. garvieae or L. formosensis have been recorded.
