Tunable source of correlated atom beams

open access: yes, 2013
We use a one-dimensional optical lattice to modify the dispersion relation of atomic matter waves. Four-wave mixing in this situation produces atom pairs in two well defined beams.

From the first stars to the first black holes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The growth of the first super massive black holes (SMBHs) at z > 6 is still a major challenge for theoretical models. If it starts from black hole (BH) remnants of Population III stars (light seeds with mass ~ 100 Msun) it requires super-Eddington ...

Fe(III)‐Mediated Formation of Cu Nanoinclusions and Local Heterojunctions in CuWO4 Photoanodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 19, October 6, 2025.
Fe(III) mediates the self‐assembly of CuWO4 nanostructures into core–shell architectures with Cu inclusions and WO3‐rich shells, enabling local p–n junction formation. This nanostructural transformation enhances charge separation and enables dual activity: oxygen evolution under photoelectrochemical operation and reactive oxygen species (ROS ...

Prospective Study of a Cohort of Russian Nijmegen Breakage Syndrome Patients Demonstrating Predictive Value of Low Kappa-Deleting Recombination Excision Circle (KREC) Numbers and Beneficial Effect of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT)

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2017
BackgroundNijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS) is a combined primary immunodeficiency with DNA repair defect, microcephaly, and other phenotypical features.

Prioritization approach for circuit breakers to equip with condition monitoring devices

open access: yesArchives of Electrical Engineering, 2020
Circuit Breakers (CBs) play an important role in ensuring the safe operation of protection systems. Condition Monitoring (CM) devices are widely implemented to extend lifetime, and to improve the maintenance quality.

Derivation of the linear Landau equation and linear Boltzmann equation from the Lorentz model with magnetic field

open access: yes, 2016
We consider a test particle moving in a random distribution of obstacles in the plane, under the action of a uniform magnetic field, orthogonal to the plane.

Hybrid Molecular Photoanodes for Water Oxidation Based on Electropolymerized Cu Macrocyclic Complexes on BiVO4‐WO3

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 40, October 28, 2025.
Hybrid photoanodes based on WO3/BiVO4 and Cu‐based molecular catalysts are developed for solar water oxidation. The molecular catalyst enables efficient hole transfer and passivates recombination centers, leading to enhanced photocurrent and long‐term stability.

V(D)J Recombination Excision Circles of B- and T-cells as Prognostic Marker in B-Cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

open access: yesКлиническая онкогематология, 2017
Background & Aims. T-cell receptor excision circles (TREC) and κ-deleting recombination excision circles (KREC) are extrachromosomal DNA segments generated during V(D)J re combination process that characterize the diversity of the antigen repertoire of T-

Bell inequality, Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen steering and quantum metrology with spinor Bose-Einstein condensates

open access: yes, 2017
We propose an experiment, where the Bell inequality is violated in a many-body system of massive particles. The source of correlated atoms is a spinor $F=1$ Bose-Einstein condensate residing in an optical lattice.

Determination of Electron Extraction in Semiconductor Photoanodes: Steady‐State and Small‐Perturbation Response

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 37, October 7, 2025.
A unified analytical model is developed to consistently interpret the steady‐state and small‐perturbation response of photoanodes, both in the time and frequency domain. By accounting for non‐ideal electron extraction and slow hole kinetics, the model explains key experimental trends in the case of a hematite photoanode and allows extraction of related
