Rigidity of Rank-One Factors of Compact Symmetric Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
We consider the decomposition of a compact-type symmetric space into a product of factors and show that the rank-one factors, when considered as totally geodesic submanifolds of the space, are isolated from inequivalent minimal submanifolds.

The Sudakov form factor to three loops in N=4 super Yang-Mills [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We review the results for the Sudakov form factor in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory up to the three-loop level. At each loop order, the form factor is expressed as a linear combination of only a handful scalar integrals, with small integer coefficients. Working in dimensional regularisation, the expansion coefficients of each integral exhibit homogeneous ...

Coulomb form factors of 6Li and 7Li in potentials cluster model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1998
Elastic and inelastic Coulomb form factors of 6Li and 7Li nuclei are considered on the basis of 4He2H and 3He3H cluster models. Potentials containing forbidden states, which describe main characteristics of bound states and phase shifts of elastic scattering at low energies, are used as intercluster potentials.

Knocking down RAD51AP1 enhances chemosensitivity by inhibiting the self-renewal of CD133 positive ovarian cancer stem-like cells

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
Purpose This study was designed to investigate the function of RAD51AP1 in the self-renewal and chemosensitivity of CD133 positive (CD133+) ovarian cancer (OC) stem-like cells.

On the local factor of the zeta function of quadratic orders [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
We prove by an elementary method the Riemann hypothesis for the local Euler factor of the zeta function of quadratic orders.

The worst-case root-convergence factor of GMRES(1) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
In this work, we analyze the asymptotic convergence factor of minimal residual iteration (MRI) (or GMRES(1)) for solving linear systems $Ax=b$ based on vector-dependent nonlinear eigenvalue problems. The worst-case root-convergence factor is derived for linear systems with $A$ being symmetric or $I-A$ being skew-symmetric.
