l-Histidine sulfates

Journal of Molecular Structure, 2010
Abstract In the l -His + H 2 SO 4  + H 2 O system, in addition to known 2 l -His·2H 2 SO 4 ·3H 2 O and l -His·H 2 SO 4 crystals, new crystalline compounds 2 l -His·H 2 SO 4 ·H 2 O and 2 l -His·H 2 SO 4 have been obtained. The better quality of 2 l -His·H 2 SO 4 ·H 2 O allowed determining its crystal structure. IR and Raman spectra of the crystals

L-Histidine Methyl Ester Dihydrochloride

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1996
The title compound, C7H13N3O2(2+).2Cl-, has distances and angles quite similar to those of histidine hydrochloride monohydrate [Donohue & Caron (1964). Acta Cryst. 17, 1178-1180], except for the distances within the ester functionality.

Poly-l-histidine downregulates fibrinolysis

Blood Coagulation & Fibrinolysis, 2003
The elevated level of histidine-rich glycoprotein was considered a risk factor of inherited thrombophilia. However, the mode of action remains largely unclear. In the current study, we employ poly-l-histidine (PLH) mimicking the histidine-rich region and determine whether PLH modulates urokinase (uPA)-dependent fibrinolysis.

Specific method for estimation of l-histidine using l-histidine ammonia-lyase

Analytical Biochemistry, 1970
Abstract A new method is described for the estimation of l -histidine in biological fluids. It depends upon the spectrophotometric determination of urocanate formed from histidine by histidine ammonia-lyase (histidase). The method is specific for l -histidine and is not affected by the presence of the d -isomer, phenylalanine, or histidine ...

L-Histidine Benzyl Ester

Synthetic Communications, 1986
Abstract L-Histidine benzyl ester di-p-toluenesulphonate is, contrary to a previous report, easily prepared by a very simple direct esterification procedure.

[261g] Use of l-histidine ammonia-lyase for the determination of l-histidine

1971
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the use of L-histidine ammonia-lyase for the determination of L-histidine. Histidase catalyzes the nonoxidative deamination of L-histidine to urocanate and ammonia (NH3). The equilibrium of the reaction lies far to the right so that the conversion of histidine to urocanate goes essentially to completion.

Electrochemical Studies of L-Histidine

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2018
Introduction The naturally occurring amino acid L-histidine is involved in many important biochemical processes, particularly those involving complexation of metal ions by histidine. Such interactions are involved in the formation of “zinc finger” proteins (1) and in proteins containing copper(II) ions (2).

L‐histidine decarboxylase as a probe in studies on histamine

The Chemical Record, 2002
AbstractBecause the Falck‐Hillarp formaldehyde fluorescence method, which was superbly applied to identify catecholaminergic and serotonergic neurons, is not applicable to histamine, the first author (T.W.) developed an antibody to L‐histidine decarboxylase (HDC) for identification of the histaminergic neuron system in the brain.

Oxidorhenium(V) complexes with l-histidine and pyranosides

Dalton Trans., 2010
The reaction of the oxidorhenium(V) precursor [ReOCl(3)(PPh(3))(2)] with the proteinogenic amino acid L-histidine (L-hisH) and the glycosides methyl alpha-D-mannopyranoside (Me-alpha-D-Manp) and methyl beta-D-ribopyranoside (Me-beta-D-Ribp) in methanol/triethylamine yielded the crystalline compounds [ReO(L-his)(Me-alpha-D-Manp2,3H(-2))] x 2MeOH (1) and

Oxidation of Free L-histidine by tert-Butylhydroperoxide

Pharmaceutical Research, 2010
L-histidine, a commonly used buffer for protein formulations, has the potential to oxidize and form multiple byproducts. Previous studies were performed using metal catalyzed oxidation with Fe(2+) or Cu(2+). We re-examined the oxidation of L-histidine under conditions more appropriate to protein formulations.Solutions of free L-histidine, protected ...
