Mechanisms of Gui Zhi Fu Ling Formula in Liver Fibrosis: Metabolomics and Gut Microbiota Analysis

open access: yeseFood, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
Our study was based on the efficacy of the phenotype in an animal model and used multi‐omics to explore the mechanism of action of the compound. We found that Gui Zhi Fu Ling Formula may ameliorate hepatic fibrosis potentially associated with increased hepatic EPA and the expression of gut Pseudomonas.

L-Homoserine Accumulation by a Threonine-Auxotroph of Escherichia coli

open access: yesJournal of the agricultural chemical society of Japan, 1967

Mechanisms of Mitochondrial Toxicity and Cytotoxicity Caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa Pyocyanin in Human Nasal Epithelial Cells

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, Volume 16, Issue 5, Page 451-466, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen in cystic fibrosis‐related chronic rhinosinusitis (CF‐CRS) that produces phenazine metabolites pyocyanin and 1‐hydroxyphenazine (1‐HP), which may have detrimental effects on mitochondria, reactive oxygen species (ROS), Ca2+ signaling, and apoptosis.

The fitness of pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum sensing signal cheats is influenced by the diffusivity of the environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Experiments examining the social dynamics of bacterial quorum sensing (QS) have focused on mutants which do not respond to signals and the role of QS-regulated exoproducts as public goods.

The Curious Case of CysE: Diversity and Distribution of Serine Acetyltransferases in Bacteria

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 94, Issue 5, Page 1092-1103, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Serine acetyltransferase (CysE) is a member of the left‐handed β‐helix family of acetyltransferases that catalyze the rate limiting step in de novo cysteine biosynthesis. There are two isoforms of CysE that differ in length, with the shorter isoform lacking approximately 76 amino acids at the N‐terminus of the protein from the serine ...

Phenazine-1-Carboxamide Production in the Biocontrol Strain Pseudomonas chlororaphis PCL1391 Is Regulated by Multiple Factors Secreted into the Growth Medium

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2001
Pseudomonas chlororaphis PCL1391 controls tomato foot and root rot caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicislycopersici. The production of phenazine-1-carboxamide (PCN) is crucial for this biocontrol activity.
