Thermal transport in the Falicov-Kimball model

open access: yes, 2001
We prove the Jonson-Mahan theorem for the thermopower of the Falicov-Kimball model by solving explicitly for the correlation functions in the large dimensional limit. We prove a similar result for the thermal conductivity.

Open Innovation for Circular Business Models: Addressing the Right Challenge at the Right Time

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Academic Summary In response to escalating societal challenges, such as climate change and resource constraints, this article examines the transition from linear toward circular business models (CBMs). It explores the challenges of CBM transitions and how to tackle them through open innovation.

Ultraviolet spectra of extreme nearby star-forming regions --- approaching a local reference sample for JWST

open access: yes, 2017
Nearby dwarf galaxies provide a unique laboratory in which to test stellar population models below $Z_\odot/2$. Such tests are particularly important for interpreting the surprising high-ionization UV line emission detected at $z>6$ in recent years.

DNA barcoding and geometric morphometry of tabanid flies (Diptera: Tabanidae) in Thailand and a new record of a Thai horse fly

open access: yesMedical and Veterinary Entomology, EarlyView.
Tabanus tenens identified in this study is a newly recorded species in Thailand. DNA barcoding using the cox1 gene identified tabanid species in the present study. WGM data from different sites served as a reference for species identification. Abstract Tabanid flies are gaining high medical and veterinary importance due to their role as a vector of ...

SBP‐Box Transcription Factor JcSPL9 Regulates Both Seed Yield and Oil Content in the Biofuel Plant Jatropha curcas

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Jatropha curcas is a promising feedstock for biodiesel and bio‐jet fuels production; however, its seed yield is constrained by limited inflorescences. SPL9 is a member of the SBP‐box gene family that promotes the juvenile‐to‐adult phase transition.

SSS J122221.7-311523: Double Superoutburst in a Best Candidate Period Bouncer

open access: yes, 2013
We observed the 2012-2013 superoutburst of the newly identified transient SSS J122221.7-311523 and found that this object showed successive two superoutbursts.

LsMAPK6 Phosphorylates the LsCO Protein to Enhance Its Stability and Transcriptional Activity, Promoting Floral Transition Upon High Temperatures in Lettuce

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT High temperatures significantly accelerate the timing of floral transition, namely, bolting and flowering, in lettuce, which results in severe loss of marketable yield. Thus, understanding the genetic regulation of floral transition is of great interest to plant biologists and lettuce breeders.

SPATIAL COMPETITION AND THE LOCATION OF FIRMS WITH NON-UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED COSTUMERS

open access: yesRevista de Economía Política de Buenos Aires, 2015
This paper develops a free-entry spatial model that provides theoretical assessments for explaining firms’ prices and locations with a non-uniform costumers’ distribution.

Structural determinants of re‐entrant drivers in atrial fibrillation: insights from digital twins derived from 3D micrometre‐resolution imaging of human heart

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Digital heart models of human donor atria with cardiac co‐morbidities revealed that regions with AWT variation, aligned myofibres adjacent to disorganised zones and fibrotic borders promoted the localisation and stability of RDs. AWT had a global influence, whereas fibre orientation and fibrosis exerted chamber‐specific regional ...
