Competition and Productivity Evolutions in Industry Sector [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهشهای اقتصادی, 2012
The importance of productivity has made it to be one of the most serious discussions in industrial organizing. In economic literature, however, there are some arguments on the role of market structure in productivity changes.

Reduced fecundity associated with Wolbachia infection in a Neotropical drosophilid Redução da fecundidade associada à infecção por Wolbachia em um drosofilídeo Neotropical

open access: yesEcological Entomology, EarlyView.
Using multiple infected and uninfected Drosophila sturtevanti lines, we investigated (i) the impact of Wolbachia on fecundity and (ii) its effects relative to antibiotic treatment. Based on over 1680 dissected ovaries, fecundity was similar between infected and uninfected flies.

Classification of the Killing Vectors in Nonexpanding HH-Spaces with Lambda

open access: yes, 2011
Conformal Killing equations and their integrability conditions for nonexpanding hyperheavenly spaces with Lambda are studied. Reduction of ten Killing equations to one master equation is presented.

Engineering a Perfusion Bioreactor System for hiPSC‐Derived Progenitor Co‐Culture Capturing Microglial Features in CNS Development

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, Volume 123, Issue 2, Page 363-378, February 2026.
The authors report the development of a controlled and scalable 3D co‐culture system combining hiPSC‐derived erythromyeloid progenitors and neurospheres within the Ambr® 250 Modular platform operated with a newly designed perfusion system. This model faithfully recapitulates early microglia–neural interactions, enabling progenitor integration ...

Ribosomal protein L22‐like1 promotes prostate cancer progression by activating PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathway

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, 2023
AbstractProstate cancer (PCa) is one of the most common malignancies in men. Ribosomal protein L22‐like1 (RPL22L1), a component of the ribosomal 60 S subunit, is associated with cancer progression, but the role and potential mechanism of RPL22L1 in PCa remain unclear.

The design of vertical R&D collaborations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Suppliers play a major role in innovation processes. We analyze ownership allocations and the choice of R&D technology in vertical R&D cooperations. Given incomplete contracts on the R&D outcome, there is a tradeoff between R&D specifically designed ...

Starter Culture‐Induced Fermentation Reveals Genotype‐Driven Variability in the Composition and Quality of Brazilian Amazon Forastero Cocoa Beans

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) is a crop of major economic importance, with Brazil ranking sixth in global production and Pará leading national output. Bean quality is strongly influenced by genetic diversity and postharvest processing, particularly fermentation. To minimize batch heterogeneity, this study evaluated 18 Forastero genotypes from the

Novel mutations in ribosomal proteins L4 and L22 that confer erythromycin resistance in Escherichia coli [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, 2007
SummaryL4 and L22, proteins of the large ribosomal subunit, contain globular surface domains and elongated ‘tentacles’ that reach into the core of the large subunit to form part of the lining of the peptide exit tunnel. Mutations in the tentacles of L4 and L22 confer macrolide resistance in a variety of pathogenic and non‐pathogenic bacteria.
