Imidazolium PIL nanoparticles, as an N‐rich template and morphology director, enable a colloidal self‐nitriding route to TMNs (VN, Mo2N) within controlled solid/hollow carbon architectures. As sulfur hosts/additives, TMNs accelerate Li–S redox kinetics and support high‐loading cathodes.

Organic Crystal‐MXene Composites as Temperature‐Tolerant Strain Sensors
ABSTRACT Flexible organic crystals offer significant opportunities for organic electronics; however, their potential applications in fields like flexible sensors are at present limited by poor charge transport that result in failure under reversible conditions.

The vulnerability of gender on determiners in L1, 2L1 and L2 acquisition
The acquisition of gender has been reported to be problematic for some groups of learners acquiring Germanic or Romance languages. It has been shown that L1 learners do better in gender acquisition than others, like bilingual children, child L2 learners ...

Age of second-language acquisition: Critical periods and social concerns [PDF]
A classic topic in research on bilingualism across the lifespan is the relationship between the age at which learners start to acquire a second language (L2) and their ultimate level of proficiency in that language.

Studying Macromolecular Composition in Cell–Cell Interfaces Using 3D Membrane Reconstitution Systems
A comprehensive understanding of the interactions between proteins, lipids and glycocalyx components at the immune synapse is still lacking. Here, an artificial and a semi‐artificial model contact system were established to reconstitute the cell‐cell contact in 3D. The model systems enable the examination of macromolecule enrichment or depletion at the

Fostering phonetic input in the classroom.
The quality and quantity of phonetic input are considered the main factors in L2 sound acquisition (cf. Flege 1995; Flege/Bohn 2021; Kuhl 2011). Over the years, many empirical studies have supported the statement that for accurate perception and ...

Impact of the home literacy environment on the L1 reading frequencies of Thai university students: Implications for the learning of an L2 [PDF]
In the Information Age, reading is a critical skill for accessing information and updating skills. However, reluctant readership in L1 may prevent many societies from fully participating in the global community. This reluctance to read may also slow the

Bioinspired Adaptive Leg‐Claw Enables Robust Perching and Grasping for UAVs
Inspired by owl limb morphology and bat roosting behavior, this study presents a bioinspired adaptive leg‐claw mechanism that enables UAVs to perform robust and versatile perching and grasping. The design integrates a four‐link tibial structure, tension‐driven deformable feet, and active control, enabling stable perching on various branches and ...
