Crosslinguistic influence (i.e., CLI, henceforth) in trilingual speakers is multidirectional and shaped by factors such as the amount of exposure to, and use of, each of the speaker’s languages. This study investigates whether relative dominance explains

L2/L3 acquisition of the English indefinite article
This study aimed to explore the L2/L3 acquisition of the English indefinite article by L1 speakers of Palestinian/Jordanian-Arabic (PJ/A) and Cypriot-Greek (CG) in Jordan and Cyprus. Four groups were recruited: an English control group, two L2 groups, whose L1s are PJ/A or CG, and an L3 group, whose L1 is PJ/A with L2 CG.

Cross-linguistic influence in L3 acquisition
Abstract In recent years, there has been considerable research into the factors contributing to cross-linguistic influence in the acquisition of a third language. Much of the focus has been on linguistic cues, with less emphasis (and conflicting results) on experiential factors, such as the role

Bending‐Stable Pressure Sensor Based on Natural Wood Nanofibers for Ultra‐Low Detection Limit
A wood nanofiber‐based flexible pressure sensor with intrinsic bending‐stable performance is developed through a porous electrospun architecture and interdigital electrode design. The device exhibits an ultra‐low detection limit and stable operation under deformation for physiological monitoring and spatial sensing, providing a sustainable strategy for

Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.
