Transfer in L3 acquisition [PDF]
AbstractThe present study examines the influence of L2 English on the acquisition of perfective and imperfective aspect in L3 Spanish among German-speaking learners. We will argue that English will be activated as the default transfer source due to principles of acquisition, which are similar for both the L2 and the L3, and because of structural ...

A Soft Robotic Fish With a Dielectric Elastomer Actuator Body and Negative Stiffness Spine
This work introduces a bio‐mimetic soft robotic fish driven by fiber‐reinforced dielectric elastomer actuators integrated as its body. By prestretching this active skin against a flexible spine, a negative stiffness system is created, enabling large‐amplitude bending.

ABSTRACT Gonadotropin‐inhibitory hormone (GnIH, also known as RFamide‐related peptide‐3, RFRP‐3) is a hypothalamic neuropeptide that regulates vertebrate reproduction via its receptor GPR147. Although GnIH is known to mediate stress‐induced reproductive suppression, its role in broader stress responses remains unclear.

The article reports a study on plurilingual approaches (PA) of three multilingual teachers in three foreign language classrooms (English, German and Russian) at a Turkish state university. The qualitative study explored the attitudes of multilingual teachers to PA and the response of their L3/L3+ students ($N=5$) to the plurilingual practices in class.

Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

I‐doping stabilizes the cubic phase of GeTe and generates “electron‐transparent, phonon‐blocking” grain boundary networks while inducing valence‐band convergence. This synergistic structural‐electronic design enables effective electron‐phonon decoupling, achieving an exceptional average zTave of ∼1.62, a peak zT of ∼2.2, and enhanced mechanical ...
