Gestational Hypoxia Disrupts Medial Ganglionic Eminence Progenitor Dynamics and Interneuron Development in Schizophrenia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FES‐derived MGE spheroids exhibit progenitor‐stage alterations in developmental trajectory and hypoxia‐responsive transcriptional programs, followed by functional disruption. Gestational hypoxia recapitulates impaired progenitor proliferation, shortened cell‐cycle progression, interneuron developmental abnormalities, and schizophrenia‐like behaviors in

Unknown parent groups and truncated pedigree in single-step genomic evaluations of Murrah buffaloes

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science
: Missing pedigrees may produce bias in genomic evaluations. Thus, strategies to deal with this problem have been proposed as using unknown parent groups (UPG) or truncated pedigrees.

Survival analysis of longevity in dairy cattle on a lactation basis

open access: yesGenetics Selection Evolution, 2003
An analysis of longevity in dairy cattle on a lactation basis is proposed. The approach allowed each lactation to have its own baseline hazard function, which gives a better description of the hazard than traditional analyses of the whole length of life.

A Novel Pak1 Activator Ameliorates ER Stress for HFpEF Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic metabolic stress is a major contributor to HFpEF progression. Under prolonged metabolic stress, Pak1 activity becomes impaired, contributing to disrupted ER proteostasis, cardiomyocyte apoptosis, fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction. Mechanistically, Pak1 overexpression activates the ERK1/2–MNK1–eIF4E signaling axis, promotes translational ...

Previous Lactation Risk Factors Associated with Hyperketonemia in the First Week Postpartum in Dairy Cows: A Retrospective Analysis

open access: yesDairy
Hyperketonemia (HYK) is a common disorder in high-producing dairy cows, resulting in significant economic losses. Defined by elevated beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB; ≥1.2 mmol/L) without clinical signs, HYK is often considered a gateway disease, predisposing ...

DDX3x Regulates NINJ1 Transcription via Histone Lactylation in Sepsis Associated‐Acute Kidney Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a potential therapeutic approach for sepsis‐associated acute kidney injury (SA‐AKI). We found that during SA‐AKI, reduced expression of DDX3x in renal tubular epithelial cells mediates histone delactylation, which in turn upregulates NINJ1 transcription and triggers tubular cell death. Conversely, Odetiglucan confers protection by

circZNF148 Drives Glucose Metabolism Reprogramming to Enhance Metastasis and Immune Evasion via HK1 Stabilization in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CircZNF148 stabilizes HK1 through deubiquitinase recruitment, thereby enhancing glycolysis and lactate production. Elevated lactate promotes PD‑L1 lactylation and membrane accumulation while suppressing CD8+ T‐cell cytotoxicity, collectively facilitating immune evasion and malignant progression in TNBC.
