Proteomic analyses of ethanol tolerance in Lactobacillus buchneri NRRL B‐30929
PROTEOMICS, 2014The Lactobacillus buchneri NRRL B‐30929 strain, isolated from a fuel ethanol (EtOH) production facility, exhibits high tolerance to environmental EtOH concentrations. This study aimed to identify proteins produced by B‐30929 in response to environmental EtOH.

Carbamate kinase of Lactobacillus buchneri NCDO110. I. Purification and properties.
Biotechnology and applied biochemistry, 1987Carbamate kinase has been prepared from Lactobacillus buchneri NCDO110. An approximately 91-fold increase in the specific activity of the enzyme was achieved. The purified extract exhibited a single band following polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The apparent molecular weight as determined by gel electrophoresis was about 97,000.
