Optimizing speed change lane lengths for two-way ten-lane expressways: a VISSIM and SSAM simulation-based approach

open access: yesScientific Reports
With rapid economic development, expressway traffic volumes have surged, resulting in severe congestion. To address this, expanding expressways to two-way ten-lane configurations has become a primary strategy for alleviating traffic pressure.

Mitochondrial Dysfunction Unravels the Potential Molecular Link Between Night Shift Work‐Related Circadian Disruption and Elevated Blood Pressure in Human and Mouse Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This diagram illustrates that night shift work disrupts circadian clock genes (like CLOCK, BMAL1) in both humans and mice. This disruption leads to mitochondrial dysfunction (imbalanced fusion/fission proteins) and increased oxidative stress, which is identified as the primary mechanism ultimately causing elevated blood pressure.

Decision Making Improvement Based on the Ahead Traffic Flow During the Lane Change Manoeuvre Via Model Predictive Control

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems
This paper proposes a novel decision‐making framework that combines the influence of ahead traffic flow with the driver's personal decisions, thereby addressing the impact of transient traffic flow on lane‐change decision‐making.

A Keratinocyte‐Mast Cell NF‐κB2/CXCL2/IL‐6 Amplification Loop Enhances Cutaneous Antifungal Defense Against C. albicans

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mast cells (MCs), key innate immune sentinels at the host–environment interface, serve as primary responders to invading pathogens. However, their specific contribution to host defense against cutaneous Candida albicans (C. albicans) infection and their synergy with other immune and non‐immune cells remain poorly understood. Here, we show that

Stability analysis for heterogeneous traffic flow with lane-change disturbance

open access: yesTransport
Stability analysis and benefit estimation have substantial implications for lane-change decision-making to reduce delay and variation. Connected platoons drive with minor headway to increase capacity, whereas dividing or reforming platoons significantly

Enzymatic DNA Reaction Networks for Orchestrating Stimuli‐Dependent Temporal Molecular Pulse

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present an enzymatic DNA reaction network (EDRN) that encodes nucleic‐acid targets in time, converting inputs into a universal strand and then into programmable transient fluorescence pulses. With time‐color multiplexing, EDRN enables single‐tube high‐plex nucleic acid detection and shows strong agreement with clinical sequencing across 32 specimens.

Deep learning-based lane change trajectory prediction

open access: yes
For fully automated driving vehicles, lane change is one of the most common and important driving scenarios, and there are many accidents caused by lane change. For a vehicle in motion, if it cannot intelligently respond to its surrounding vehicle’s lane

Dose‐Dependent Reprogramming of Chromatin Accessibility by SOX4 Drives the Transcriptional Response to Iron Overload

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.

Analysis of lane change crashes [PDF]

open access: yes
HS319/S3059This report defines the problem of lane change crashes in the United States (U.S.) based on data from the 1999 National Automotive Sampling System/General Estimates System (GES) crash database of the National Highway Traffic Safety ...
