IL‐22Rα1 restrains pancreatic injury independently of its C‐terminal STAT3‐amplifying domain
Journal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 3, September 2026.IL‐22R, and to a lesser extent IL‐22, are key drivers of protection in acute pancreatitis. Although the C‐terminal domain of IL‐22R enhances STAT3 activation in the pancreas, it is not required for disease protection. Classical IL‐22R signaling alone is sufficient to control inflammation and promote pancreatic recovery.
