Structural Profiling of Lipid Nanoparticles at Sub‐10 nm Resolution via AF4 Coupled Online to SAXS and SANS

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Dilution‐controlled AF4 coupled with SAXS and, for the first time, SANS enables high‐resolution characterization of non‐spherical lipid nanoparticles. Enhanced scattering contrast and D2O‐based measurements resolve particle features down to ∼5 nm and reveal shape distributions.

Nonexistence of classical diamagnetism and nonequilibrium fluctuation theorems for charged particles on a curved surface

open access: yes, 2010
We show that the classical Langevin dynamics for a charged particle on a closed curved surface in a time-independent magnetic field leads to the canonical distribution in the long time limit.

Coarse‐Grained Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Oxidative Aging and Stabilization in Polymer Melts With Primary Antioxidants: Effects of Antioxidant Concentration and Molecular Architecture

open access: yesJournal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, EarlyView.
Antioxidant type and concentration govern both the rate and spatial heterogeneity of oxidative aging in polymer melts. Higher antioxidant‐group concentration prolongs the induction and reaction time scales, while the BHT‐type antioxidant provides stronger and more homogeneous stabilization than the Irganox1010‐type antioxidant because of its more ...

Mechanism of Damage and Micro‐Characterisation of Irradiation‐Induced Free Radicals on the Epoxy Insulation of the Bridge Arm Reactors at High Altitude

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Damage degradation of epoxy resin insulating materials by free radicals triggered by the ultraviolet irradiation environment at high altitude has become a key issue that restricts the reliability of the bridge arm reactor at high altitude.

Complex Langevin dynamics and zeroes of the fermion determinant

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
QCD at nonzero baryon chemical potential suffers from the sign problem, due to the complex quark determinant. Complex Langevin dynamics can provide a solution, provided certain conditions are met.

Integrating simultaneous interfacial shear rheology with neutron reflectometry for structural and dynamic analysis of fluid interfacial systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, EarlyView.
We present a new setup at the FIGARO horizontal neutron reflectometer enabling simultaneous measurement of the structural and mechanical properties of liquid interfaces, combining neutron reflectometry with interfacial shear rheology. The study of the structure and mechanical properties of complex fluid interfaces has attracted growing interest in ...

Boltzmann-Langevin one-body dynamics for fermionic systems

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
A full implementation of the Boltzmann-Langevin equation for fermionic systems is introduced in a transport model for dissipative collisions among heavy nuclei.

On the second fluctuation--dissipation theorem for nonequilibrium baths

open access: yes, 2013
Baths produce friction and random forcing on particles suspended in them. The relation between noise and friction in (generalized) Langevin equations is usually referred to as the second fluctuation-dissipation theorem.
