The DESI DR1 peculiar velocity survey: Growth rate measurements from the galaxy power spectrum

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
The large-scale structure of the Universe and its evolution encapsulate a wealth of cosmological information. A powerful means of unlocking this knowledge lies in measuring the auto-power spectrum and/or the cross-power spectrum of the galaxy density and

Machine-learning Cosmology from Void Properties

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Cosmic voids are the largest and most underdense structures in the Universe. Their properties have been shown to encode precious information about the laws and constituents of the Universe.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Diagrammatic Methods in Statistics and Biasing in the Large-scale Structure of the Universe [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
We develop technique concerning statistical analyses of the large-scale structure of the universe in the presence of biasing in the structure formation. We formulate the diagrammatic method to calculate the correlation functions of the nonlocally biased ...

Principles, Progress and Problems in Inflationary Cosmology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Inflationary cosmology has become one of the cornerstones of modern cosmology. Inflation was the first theory within which it was possible to make predictions about the structure of the Universe on large scales, based on causal physics.

Stabilization of Large Scale Structure by Adhesive Gravitational Clustering [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The interplay between gravitational and dispersive forces in a multi-streamed medium leads to an effect which is exposed in the present note as the genuine driving force of stabilization of large-scale structure. The conception of `adhesive gravitational

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

The Line-of-Sight Analysis of Spatial Distribution of Galaxies in the COSMOS2015 Catalogue

open access: yesUniverse, 2020
New observations of high-redshift objects are crucial for the improvement of the standard ΛCDM cosmological model and our understanding of the Universe.
