Observation of clinical effect of transcutaneous tibial nerve stimulation in the treatment of 62 cases of low anterior resection syndrome after rectal cancer surgery

open access: yes结直肠肛门外科
[Objectives] To investigate the preliminary clinical effect of transcutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (TTNS) in the treatment of low anterior resection syndrome (LARS) after rectal cancer surgery, and to provide practical evidence for further exploring ...

Clinical, histological, and serological predictors of renal function loss in lupus nephritis.

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Kidney survival is the ultimate goal in lupus nephritis (LN) management, but long‐term predictors remain inadequately studied, requiring long‐term follow‐up. This study aimed to identify baseline and early longitudinal predictors of kidney survival in the Accelerating Medicines Partnership LN longitudinal cohort.

The group fused Lasso for multiple change-point detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present the group fused Lasso for detection of multiple change-points shared by a set of co-occurring one-dimensional signals. Change-points are detected by approximating the original signals with a constraint on the multidimensional total variation ...

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Machine learning-guided prevention and management of low anterior resection syndrome: Development of an XGBoost prediction model and validation via SHAP

open access: yesLaparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery
Objective: Colorectal cancer is among the top three cancers in terms of incidence and mortality worldwide. Although laparoscopic and robotic-assisted sphincter-preserving surgeries reduce permanent colostomy rates to under 20%, 60%–80% of patients ...

Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.
