Multi‐Cation (High‐Entropy) Doping of Mesoporous Co3O4 Thin Films With Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, and Ag: Assessment of the Oxygen Evolution Reaction Performance

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Mesoporous Co3O4 thin films doped with Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Ag, and a multi‐cation combination were synthesized via sol‐gel dip‐coating. Structural, optical, and electrochemical analyses reveal Fe and Cu as the most effective dopants for enhancing OER activity, whereas multi‐cation doping shows no synergistic improvement.

Flexible plasma‐sintered transparent conducting electrodes fabricated from particle free gold inks

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Thin gold electrodes fabricated via particle free metal organic decomposition inks provide a promising alternative to indium tin oxide for flexible devices. Low temperature plasma sintering enables compatibility with polymer substrates while maintaining transparency and sufficient electrical conductivity for optoelectronic applications.

Using the contact profilometer to measure the dimensional changes of metal samples after laser treatment

open access: yes, 2013
The paper presents several specific examples of the use of contact profilometer Taylor Hobson. It is used here for mapping of the metal surface samples after laser hardening and remelting.

Laser profilometer module based on a low-temperature cofired ceramic substrate

open access: yes, 2005
We realized a laser profilometer module using low temperature cofired ceramics technology. The device consists of a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser as the light source and a complementary metal oxide semiconductor image sensor as the detector. The

Metasurface‐Enabled Single‐Shot Intensity‐and‐Phase‐Interrogation Surface‐Plasmon‐Resonance Microscopy

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A metasurface‐enabled full‐Stokes polarimeter is integrated with phase‐interrogated surface plasmon resonance microscopy to enable single‐shot recovery of intensity and differential phase. The non‐interferometric platform supports quantitative refractive‐index and thickness mapping, wavelength‐resolved sensing, and dynamic multi‐channel monitoring ...

The Influence of the Pretreatment of Tool Steel on the Running‐In Phase of Diamond‐Like Carbon Coatings

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
The influence of tool steel pretreatment on the running‐in behavior of TiNb‐diamond‐like carbon (DLC) coatings is investigated. Ion etching promotes carbide protrusion and increases coating roughness, while post‐deposition polishing reduces surface asperities.

Alignment and arm length measurement of the Swing Arm Profilometer using a laser tracker [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we present the use of the laser tracker to aid the alignment of a Swing Arm Profilometer (SAP) and measure the length of the swinging arm, thus calibrating the operating radius of the SAP. The measurement uncertainty analysis is given.

Influence of Laser Repetition Rate, Fluence and Spot Size on LA‐Q‐ICP‐MS/MS 87Sr/86Sr Precision: Insights from Apatites and Silicate Glasses

open access: yesGeostandards and Geoanalytical Research, EarlyView.
Key Points Higher laser repetition rate, fluence and larger spot size increase signal intensity. Higher laser repetition rate produces overlaps in aerosolised particles, improving signal stability and precision. For Sr‐rich materials, moderate spot diameter (≤ 60 μm), 3 J cm‐2 fluence and ≥ 12 Hz repetition rate are recommended.
