Surface Plasmon Enhanced Photoluminescence of Carbon Dots Formed In Situ on Silver Gratings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 27, 13 May 2026.
Carbon emitters formed in situ on a silver grating via plasmonic catalysis yield enhanced spontaneous emission by preferential radiative decay into surface plasmons. Enhancement manifests as emission exhibiting characteristics of coherence (polarization, directionality), and accelerated lifetimes of ∼30 ps, yielding Purcell factors of ∼70.

Peptide Receptor‐Functionalized AuNP‐Embedded Zwitterionic Biopolymeric Nanohydrogel for Electrochemical Sclerostin Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 26, 8 May 2026.
We report an electrochemical biosensor that employs biopanning‐derived affinity peptides as selective receptors on a multifunctional chitosan–zwitterionic–gold nanoparticle (CS–ZI–AuNPs) nanohydrogel interface. The CS–ZI–AuNPs nanohydrogel exhibits antifouling properties, abundant sites for stable peptide immobilization, and efficient electrochemical ...

Biohybrid Moist‐Electric Generators Enable Autonomous Proton Homeostasis for Stable Wearable Microbial Power

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
A biohybrid moist‐electric generator converts ambient humidity into a self‐regulating proton supply for wearable microbial fuel cells. Dormant Bacillus subtilis endospores harvest moisture at the skin–air interface and deliver protons through a Nafion ionomer bridge to the air cathode, suppressing pH splitting and stabilizing power output—reframing ...

Correlations Between Osteocyte Lacuno‐Canalicular Network and Material Characteristics in Healthy and Mechanically Stimulated Murine Tibiae

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
This article reveals how calcium content, mineral nanostructure, and lacuno‐canalicular network (LCN) organization interact to shape bone heterogeneity in mouse tibiae. Advanced multimodal imaging uncovers that mechanical loading promotes mature mineral structures even in low‐calcium regions, highlighting LCN‐driven mineralization and offering new ...
