EMG‐based BFT for constipation in a real‐life practice demonstrated similar treatment success whether patients underwent ARM prior to referral or were referred directly. When ARM access is limited, referral for EMG‐based BFT for constipation may still be guided by clinical assessment alone.

Magnesium‐Rich Mineral Water Improves Stool Consistency and Bowel Habits in Healthy Subjects: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Neurogastroenterology &Motility, Volume 38, Issue 6, June 2026.
In this single‐center, randomized, parallel‐group trial involving healthy adults, we demonstrate that magnesium‐rich mineral water significantly improved stool consistency, increased spontaneous and complete spontaneous bowel movements, and enhanced subjective bowel habit improvement compared with soft water without serious adverse events.
