Impact of atmospheric layering on lowtran 6 radiance calculations

Applied Optics, 1990
Measurements of 8-12-microm near-horizon sky radiances and meteorological parameters over the ocean near San Diego, CA, were used to evaluate the sky radiance algorithm of LOWTRAN 6. Discrepancies in measured and calculated sky radiances previously attributed to the neglect of multiple scattering effects of aerosols can be overcome by introducing ...

Layer 6 Corticothalamic Neurons in the Somatosensory System

2023
Abstract Standard models of the somatosensory cortex primarily focus on 2 major types of corticothalamic neurons: corticothalamic neurons with cell bodies located in layer 5 (L5 CThNs) and corticothalamic neurons with cell bodies located in the deepest cortical layer, layer 6 (L6 CThNs).

[6] Thin-layer chromatography of amino acids and derivatives

1972
Publisher Summary This chapter discusses thin-layer chromatography (TLC) for the analysis of amino acids and derivatives. The qualitative analyses that can be done by TLC includes comparison of peptide and protein hydrolyzates, control of the course of hydrolysis, end-group determination, identification in sequence analysis, and also screening for ...

Chapter 6 Dynamics of the Bottom Boundary Layer

2008
Publisher Summary The bottom boundary layer (BBL) conveys the transfer and exchange of physical, chemical, and biological properties between the sea floor and the sea, and has strong implications in the dissipation of the energy produced by large-scale ocean currents. This chapter describes the dynamics of theBBL. .
