CsdA‐LaeB Regulatory Hub Contributes to Aspergillus fumigatus Virulence via Fumiquinazoline C Biosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 March 2026.
This study identifies a conserved CsdA‐LaeB hub in Aspergillus fumigatus that regulates secondary metabolite fumiquinazoline C (FqC). Disrupting this hub enhances FqC production and virulence, shedding new light on the post‐transcriptional regulatory logic linking secondary metabolism to pathogenicity and offering alternative strategies for diagnostic ...

AIE‐Active Cationic Tripyrrole Targeting Mitochondrial SDHAF1 for Acute Myeloid Leukemia Therapy

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Cationic tripyrrole oligomers (Tri‐DPPy) selectively accumulate in mitochondria and suppress Complex II activity by binding to SDHAF1, thereby effectively eradicating AML cells both in vitro and in vivo. ABSTRACT Therapy‐resistant acute myeloid leukemia (AML) depends on mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) to meet its energy demands, and ...

Photo‐Catalyzed Labeling of Amyloid Deposits in Human Tissue to Proteotype Amyloidosis Diseases

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Amyloid‐ID, a ThT‐like photocatalytic probe, enables proteotyping of amyloid deposits by ROS‐mediated protein labeling. Applied to patient biopsies, amyloid‐ID identifies potential fibrinogen‐derived amyloid in laryngeal amyloidosis, revealing a mechanically sensitive fibrillation mechanism linked to vocal cord friction.

Unexpected Discovery of Structure‐dependent Aggregation of N‐Oxide Enables Novel Heme‐detecting Probes

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
N‐oxide is a polar and multifunctional group. Herein, we report a new property of this versatile group that is structure‐dependent aggregation. The first‐generation application of this new finding is to design novel heme‐detecting probes. ABSTRACT N‐oxides, characterized by a highly polar N+–O− bond, have recently demonstrated rapidly growing ...

Synthesis of Some Novel Chalcone and 3,5‐Disubstituted Pyrazoline Derivatives: Evaluation of Their α‐Amylase and α‐Glucosidase Inhibitory Activities In Vitro and In Silico

open access: yesArchiv der Pharmazie, Volume 359, Issue 3, March 2026.
A novel pyrazoline derivative (P2) was synthesized and demonstrated potent α‐glucosidase inhibition (IC50 = 2.10 µM), significantly surpassing acarbose and highlighting its promise as an effective oral antidiabetic agent. ABSTRACT This study reports the synthesis of some novel chalcone (C1–C3) and 3,5‐disubstituted pyrazoline derivatives (P1–P3 ...
