A non-Gaussian LCMV beamformer for MEG source reconstruction

open access: yes2013 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing, 2013
Evidence suggests that magnetoencephalogram (MEG) data have characteristics with non-Gaussian distribution, however, standard methods for source localisation assume Gaussian behaviour. We present a new general method for non-Gaussian source estimation of stationary signals for localising brain activity in the MEG data.

Alpha Oscillations and Conditioned Pain Modulation Is Associated With Treatment Resistance to Spinal Cord Stimulation for Neuropathic Pain

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pain, Volume 30, Issue 4, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Neuropathic pain (NP) is a severe form of chronic pain associated with reduced quality of life. Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) can provide pain relief for some but not all treated, highlighting the importance of predictive markers.

Accelerated and improved quantification of lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) titers by flow cytometry. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV), a natural murine pathogen, is a member of the Arenavirus family, may cause atypical meningitis in humans, and has been utilized extensively as a model pathogen for the study of virus-induced disease and immune ...

Effects of Age on Resting‐State Cortical Networks

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 5, 1 April 2026.
ABSTRACT Understanding how ageing affects brain function remains a central challenge in neuroscience. Electrophysiological brain imaging techniques provide a near‐direct measure of neuronal activity, which is useful for characterising neurophysiological health.

Type I Interferon Impairs Specific Antibody Responses Early During Establishment of LCMV Infection

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2016
Elicitation of type I interferon (IFN-I) has been shown to both enhance and impair cell-mediated immune responses in acute and persistent viral infections, respectively.

A distributed algorithm for robust LCMV beamforming

open access: yes2016 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2016
In this paper we propose a distributed reformulation of the linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) beamformer for use in acoustic wireless sensor networks. The proposed distributed minimum variance (DMV) algorithm, for which we demonstrate implementations for both cyclic and acyclic networks, allows the optimal beamformer output to be computed at

Combination of Vaccine With IL‐12‐Armed Oncolytic Virus SKV‐012 Synergistically Potentiates Immune Responses in HPV‐Associated Malignancies

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2026.
A synergistic immunotherapeutic platform based on the intratumoral delivery of oncolytic virus and intramuscular vaccination activates both local and systemic antitumor immunity. This synergistic approach expands the universality and therapeutic efficacy of vaccines in HPV‐associated malignancies.

Quantitative and qualitative analysis of bone marrow CD8+ T cells from different bones uncovers a major contribution of the bone marrow in the vertebrae.

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2016
Bone marrow (BM) plays an important role in the long-term maintenance of memory T cells. Yet, BM is found in numerous bones throughout the body, which are not equal in structure, as they differ in their ratio of cortical and trabecular bone. This implies,

Analysis of the Function of the Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus S Segment Untranslated Region on Growth Capacity In Vitro and on Virulence In Vivo

open access: yesViruses, 2020
Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) is a prototypic arenavirus. The function of untranslated regions (UTRs) of the LCMV genome has not been well studied except for the extreme 19 nucleotide residues of both the 5′ and 3′ termini. There are internal
