Compression efficiency of HDR/LDR content

2015 Seventh International Workshop on Quality of Multimedia Experience (QoMEX), 2015
High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging is capable of delivering a wider range of luminance and color gamut compared to Standard Dynamic Range (SDR), offering to viewers a visual quality of experience close to that of real-life. In this study, we evaluate the quality of coded original HDR streams and HDR streams reconstructed from SDR videos and metadata ...

Calibration of multiple LDR brachytherapy sources

Medical Physics, 2006
A trend is underway toward the use of prepackaged low dose rate brachytherapy sources, which come in the form of strands, coiled line sources, preloaded needles, and sterile cartridge packs. Since the medical physicist is responsible for verification of source strength prior to patient treatment, development of prepackaged source strength verification ...

Extended Neighbourhood Filter for LDR Displays

2019 IEEE 62nd International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2019
Visual preservation and reproduction of subtle and feeble scene details is challenging during conversion from Hyper-spectral Image (HSI) to Low Dynamic Range (LDR) color images due to poor scene area to pixel density ratio, where a large geographical plane is mapped to a single pixel.

Rectourethral Fistula following LDR Brachytherapy

Urologia Internationalis, 2009
Modern LDR brachytherapy has drastically reduced rectal toxicity and decreased the occurrence of rectourethral fistulas to <0.5% of patients. Therefore, symptoms of late-onset sequelae are often ignored initially. These fistulas cause severe patient morbidity and require interdisciplinary treatment.

A response to LDR 2 LDR: KNEX 2 U

Journal of Leadership Studies, 2009
AbstractAn act of leadership is always an act of practical theory. We lead because we hold visions of the world as it ought to be, because of the not yet, because of the potential that we see in ideas and people. Yet, there still exists a perceived binary between leadership theory (in the strong sense) and leadership practice, a binary that divides ...

LDR Lite Benchmark: Description of the Core Model

International Conference on Physics of Reactors (PHYSOR 2024)
We alleviate the lack of detailed, design-specific SMR-benchmarks by providing the first specifications of the LDR lite benchmark. This benchmark is based on the public version of the LDR-50 reactor design, developed at VTT since 2020 for low temperature heat production applications. The main characteristics of this 50 MWth integrated pressure water ...

LDR to HDR Conversion Based on Histogram Extension

2021 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics-Taiwan (ICCE-TW), 2021
We present a method of generating high dynamic range image. Our input is low dynamic range image. We transform an input image into HSI color space, separating the color and intensity information. Then dynamic range of intensity is extended from [0, 255] to [0, 1023] and a Butterworth filter is applied to the histogram which is set as the target ...

In-phantom calibration of Selectron-LDR sources

Radiotherapy and Oncology, 1990
Source strength measurements were performed for cesium-137 spherical sources of nine Selectron-LDR remote afterloading systems in The Netherlands. The mean reference air kerma rate of a set of sources was obtained from air kerma rate measurements in a phantom at a distance of about 5.5 cm from a large number (24 to 30) of sources.
