Interactive effects of biostimulants and water stress on potted Pinot noir grapevines

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences, 2019
Seaweeds extracts (SWE) are innovative and non-polluting tools that have become popular as biostimulants. Their effects on Pinot noir water potential, gas exchanges and fruit quality under drought stress and full irrigation were evaluated during the 2017

Gas exchanges and growth of soybean cultivars submitted to water deficiency

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical, 2020
A low availability of water in the soil may alter morphological traits and physiological processes in soybean, limiting its development, mainly at late sowings. This study aimed to evaluate the leaf gas exchanges and dry

Low‐Temperature Gold Deposition Improves CdTe Back Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Cd(Se,Te) samples are cooled during the evaporation of Au back contacts to thermally quench CdTe degradation. Reduced temperature during Au evaporation boosts PV efficiency, open‐circuit voltage, and fill factor. XPS associates these improvements with less chemical perturbation of the CdTe surface during metallization.

Conformable Ferrimagnetic Tattoo Electrodes for Plant Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The newly developed ferrimagnetic tattoo electrode is capable of measuring plant electrophysiological activity outside the Faraday cage. Its ability to adhere without damaging the plant tissue allows long‐term recordings. This premise opens new avenues for in‐field monitoring of plant health through electrophysiology.

Surrogate‐Optimized Flow‐Guided Miniature Condenser for Rapid Exhaled Glucose Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A surrogate‐optimized miniature condenser guides humid exhaled flow toward cold surfaces to accelerate exhaled breath condensate collection. By improving vapor access within a compact footprint, the design increases sample yield. This enables post‐collection enrichment and rapid colorimetric glucose detection from dilute exhaled biomarkers within a 5 ...

Non-destructive models for leaf area determination in canola

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental, 2016
The leaf is a very important structure of the plants, since it allows gas exchanges and the transformation of light energy into chemical energy. This study aimed to generate and test mathematical models for leaf area estimation in canola based on leaf ...
