Effect of end leakage inductance on the performance of toroidal winding double‐sided linear induction motors

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
The end leakage inductance is an important component in the primary leakage inductance of the equivalent circuit. In order to calculate the end leakage inductance of a toroidal winding double‐sided linear induction motor (TW‐DSLIM) accurately and quickly,

A novel dual-stator hybrid excited synchronous wind generator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a novel dual-stator hybrid excited synchronous wind generator and describes its structural features and operation principle. The no-load magnetic fields with different field currents are computed by 3-D finite-element method.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Numerical Analysis of Operating Characteristics of Frequency-dividing Disconnectors for Distribution Line Surge Arresters

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2022
In order to reduce the workload of the operation and maintenance of distribution line arresters, this paper designs a frequency-dividing disconnector using double sphere gaps based on the inverse time principle, which can reliably shunt high and low ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Improved Y-Source Single-Stage Transformerless Micro-Inverter for PV Residential Applications [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2020
Y-Source Impedance Network (YSN) is one of the most suitable for providing high voltage gain. It generatesa high voltage gain by using a small shoot-through duty cycle, which makes it suitable in applications require a wide range of input voltages such ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Permanent Magnet minimization in PM-Assisted Synchronous Reluctance motors for wide speed range [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a technique to modify the rotor lamination of a permanent-magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance motor, in order to reduce the magnet volume with no side effect on performance.
