Echinoderm‐Inspired Autonomy for Soft‐Legged Robots
Inspired by echinoderms, a modular soft robot achieves autonomous phototaxis without a central controller or explicit communication. Each limb independently adapts its actuation timing through local sensing and short‐term memory. Coordination emerges purely from physical interactions, demonstrating resilience to changes in morphology, environment, and ...

The Importance of Needs Analysis in Materials Development [PDF]
There is an issue which can be the subject of a further research that is: most learners of EFL do not actually have any needs at all. They are learning English because they have to rather than because they want or need to.

Students’ Perceptions of Learner-Centered Teaching Approach
The learner-centered Teaching Approach is designed to assist students engaged in learning activities, which can help them become motivated and critical-thinking learners. The purpose of this study is to find out students’ perceptions about the learner-centered teaching approach. A mixed-method approach was used.

This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Challenging Pre-Service Students\u27 Teaching Perspectives in an Inquiry-Focused Program [PDF]
Inquiry teaching based on constructivist learning theory has been an emphasis in pre-service education for over a decade. In general, a developmental teaching perspective supports inquiry-based instruction where teachers view learners as constructors of ...

Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Student Perceptions of Online Courses for School Administrators [PDF]
Online courses are the fastest growing student enrollment at the university level during the last decade. Between the time period 2003-2009, the number of students who had taken online courses doubled to 3.9 million which outpaced the growth in ...

Developing a Learner-Centered Teaching Routine
This paper shares a classroom story from Fall 2022 to Spring 2025 about a learner centered routine in undergraduate mathematics. I use four steps: an opening question, a short mini lecture about meaning, structured small group work, and a short end of class exit check, sometimes with quick visuals. I used this mainly in elementary statistics, with some

Compliant Pneumatic Feet with Real‐Time Stiffness Adaptation for Humanoid Locomotion
A compliant pneumatic foot with real‐time variable stiffness enables humanoid robots to adapt to changing terrains. Using onboard vision and pressure control, the foot modulates stiffness within each gait cycle, reducing impact forces and improving balance. The design, cast in soft silicone with embedded air chambers and Kevlar wrapping, offers durable,
