Astragalus membranaceus and Salvia miltiorrhiza Ameliorate Hypertensive Renal Damage through lncRNA-mRNA Coexpression Network.

open access: yesBiomed Res Int, 2022
lncRNAs and mRNA are closely associated with hypertensive renal damage, and Astragalus membranaceus and Salvia miltiorrhiza (AS) have a therapeutic effect; however, the mechanism of AS to ameliorate hypertensive renal damage through the co‐expression network of lncRNA‐mRNA was unclear.

Nutrient‐based species selection is a prevalent driver of community assembly and functional trait space in tropical forests

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 111, Issue 6, Page 1218-1230, June 2023., 2023
Our results demonstrate that soil nutrient‐based species selection is a prevalent driver of community assembly in tropical forests, a process mediated by key functional traits within the leaf and wood economics spectrum. Functional space size and its filling increase with soil nutrient concentration, whereas niche vacancy decreases.

Discovering the genetic modules controlling root nodule symbiosis under abiotic stresses: salinity as a case study

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 237, Issue 4, Page 1082-1085, February 2023., 2023
Summary Legumes form a symbiotic association with rhizobia and fix atmospheric nitrogen in specialized root organs known as nodules. It is well known that salt stress inhibits root nodule symbiosis by decreasing rhizobial growth, rhizobial infection, nodule number, and nitrogenase activity in diverse legumes.

Rank‐based data synthesis of common bean on‐farm trials across four Central American countries

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 62, Issue 6, Page 2246-2266, November/December 2022., 2022
Abstract Location‐specific information is required to support decision making in crop variety management, especially under increasingly challenging climate conditions. Data synthesis can aggregate data from individual trials to produce information that supports decision making in plant breeding programs, extension services, and of farmers. Data from on‐
