Length-weight and length-length relationships for six fish species from Zohreh River, Iran
The present study reports Length-weight and length-length parameters for six fish species belonging to four families from the Zohreh River. The weight-length relationships were estimated using the equation W= š¼Lb. The values of the slope parameter (b) varied between 2.72 and 3.72, with a mean±SD of 3.015±0.18.

Transcripts enriched in codons that trigger Pāsite tRNAāmediated mRNA decay possess stable mRNA
PTMD codons were first described by Mendel etĀ al. as mediators of an mRNA decay pathway dependent on the human protein CNOT3, homologous to yeast Not5. Our findings confirm that PTMD codons destabilize transcripts; however, unlike in yeast, the human pathway specifically targets and slightly destabilizes primarily stable mRNAs.

Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear āstoichiometric bottleneckā, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3ā²UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Malformin A1āmediated cytotoxicity in ovarian cancer cells occurs through pyroptosis and autophagy
This study investigated the effects of the natural compound Malformin A1 (MA1) on the cytoskeleton that regulates cell proliferation and migration. Disruption of the cytoskeleton can impair these processes and promote cancer cell death. MA1 disrupted cytoskeletal organization, induced DNA damage, inflammation, activated autophagy, and pyroptosis ...

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for timeāresolved Xāray solution scattering experiments
Timeāresolved Xāray solution scattering (TRāXSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditionsāfluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rateāis critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...

In silico and in vitro exploration of a tyrosinase for biocatalytic production of catechols
Tyrosinase from Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum is a promising biocatalyst for producing valuable catechols from monophenol substrates. This tyrosinase is uniquely suited to this due to its high monophenolaseā:ādiphenolase ratio. We combined in silico docking and in vivo kinetic characterisation of this tyrosinase with 11 industrially relevant monophenols,

Adenosine triphosphate as a modulator of protein interactions and stability
ATP is best known as the cell's energy currency, but it also shapes how proteins fold, interact, aggregate and form biomolecular condensates. This review explains the emerging physical principles behind these effects, including weak binding to charged protein regions, magnesiumādependent behaviour and concentrationādependent control of protein ...

Relationship between occlusal vertical dimension and linear ear length
Introduction: When occlusal vertical dimension becomes altered, as is sometimes the case, use should be made of subjective and objective methods, including those based on an anthropometric approach. Objective: Evaluate the correlation between linear ear
