Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Length-length and Length-weight Relationships in Astacus leptodactylus in Bandar Anzali Region

open access: yes‬‭Majallah-i ̒Ilmī-i Shīlāt-i Īrān, 1997
Different length - weight relationship in 1000 male and 201 female of freshwater crayfish were studied and it was revealed that the length - length relationship is best described through linear regression, while weight - length relation is best described through a multimodel one. The "r" coefficient was over 90% in all cases. It was also shown that the

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Length-weight and length-length relationships of 16 marine fish species in Vietnam

open access: yesOcean and Coastal Research
In this study, the length-weight relationships (LWRs) and length-length relationships (LLRs) of 16 marine fish species-important component of fishery production models-were estimated. The specimens were collected monthly from commercial gillnet fisheries from November 6, 2018 to October 30, 2019 in Vietnamese waters.

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Length-weight and length-length relationships, condition factors and optimal length of some fish species from the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aquatic Biology, 2013
Length-weight relationships (LWRs), relative condition factor (Krel), relative weight (Wr) and optimal length (Lopt) were calculated for five important commercial fishes from Iranian waters of the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.
